Así fue la participación de Softeng en el evento de IDC CIO Digital Forum 2020

Softeng has participated in the XII edition of the CIO Digital Forum, the annual event organized by IDC Research where the needs, solutions and trends of the IT environment are debated. This year the event, entitled “The (R) Digital Evolution. Prioritizing the CIO’s digital agenda” has been successfully carried out 100% online where speakers, round tables and attendees have had the opportunity to share a very digital experience. enriching.

In this edition, the forum has focused on the needs that the new macroeconomic environment, uncovered by the COVID-19 crisis, is bringing to the market and on how the decline in income and the cut in budgets has impacted on the priorities of the CIO. Thus, the consolidation of remote work, cybersecurity and the incorporation of AI into current strategies have become the main conclusions of the event.

The hybrid teleworking model is consolidated

According to the IDC Research study, 90% of organizations are already operating in a hybrid scenario where the cloud has been placed as the central pillar of digital transformation along with the rise of the teleworking model, where 38% of organizations Spanish will encourage it by adjusting their IT budget to finance it and 47% will implement remote work in their HR policies.

Security as a cornerstone, with the addition of AI

The other aspect that has consolidated this pandemic as a priority for CIOs is investment in security as the central axis of the IT strategy, incorporating artificial intelligence in the automatic threat detection process in an increasingly multicloud environment.

Softeng’s commitment to security in the cloud

The CEO of Softeng, Carlos Colell, participated in the round table entitled “Building the business with security in the cloud”, where different approaches of the assistants were exposed about how to approach cybersecurity in this context that has greatly accelerated the need to secure work environments.

As Carlos said, the problem of not having a secure corporate environment is added that now the user connects from home with a personal computer to corporate applications and in most cases with a VPN connection, so it is enough that that computer is be compromised to put the security of the entire enterprise at risk .

For this reason, “Softeng’s approach is focused on not matter from which place you connect or from which computer you connect.” The solution is not to control each device but to offer a unified cloud platform that makes everything easier , composed of integrated applications capable of speaking the same language to deal with potential threats. And the only one on the market that is capable of offering it is the Microsoft cloud.
