The multinational Group with headquarters in Barcelona that has a professional career of more than 50 years, is dedicated to the chemical-pharmaceutical sector and has subsidiaries in more than 20 countries and commercial presence in more than 70. Its main companies are Indukern, of the chemical sector ; Calier Laboratories, from the veterinary sector and KERN pharma, from the pharmaceutical sector.
The Group wanted to adopt Microsoft cloud solutions internationally with the aim of reducing costs in terms of license management and systems administration of its approximately 1,000 users as well as increase the capacity of the messaging service and incorporate new features that improve the productivity of its users; for this, they bet on the cloud platform of Microsoft Office 365 and Softeng .
The solution
Softeng offered the company the migration of its Lotus Notes communication system to Exchange Online and automated deployment of Skype for business . Now employees of all companies in the group can communicate and collaborate more comfortably and increase their efficiency and productivity while the company benefits from significant cost savings thanks to the solution in the cloud.
The Office 365 tools implemented by Softeng and especially Exchange Online will allow us to unify all the corporate email systems in Spain and the rest of our international subsidiaries, and on the other hand, we will open up a wide range of online collaboration possibilities We did not have with our current mail system (Lotus Notes).We believe that the robustness of the system and the scalability of the Microsoft solution is the tool we needed for our Group.
