More than 150 people participated in a new edition of our event on how to boost the competitiveness of enterprises through the cloud held this year in Barcelona and Madrid.
An event that has become the national benchmark to inform companies about the evolution of cloud solutions with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
The events on 20 and 26 May were held at the College of Economists of Catalonia and in the offices of Microsoft in Madrid. As in previous editions, we have obtained a great success of participation, positive results in the polls and very good impressions by attendees have valued the event as fun and dynamic and productive and educational.
During the conference attendees had the opportunity to learn hands of specialists from Microsoft and Softeng all the new Office 365 and Azure scoop with them and how their companies can increase productivity and the level of innovation, optimizing costs.

Jordi Marin, Director General of Microsoft in Catalonia and Rafael Sanz, Director of the Division of companies and partners of Microsoft, gave way to the day of Barcelona and Madrid respectively, talking about the remarkable career of many years of experience Softeng in Office 365 and Azure, noting that Softeng is one of the leading experts in the cloud partners.
Carlos Colell and Imma Squeegee, CEO and Director respectively, we discussed the main reasons why companies opt for the cloud with real examples of success stories from customers like Fiatc, Noria Group, Jjuan, Formwork Alsina or Endemol Group.
During his presentation we talked about how Softeng began the total transformation of their business to the cloud solutions and keys to push businesses to digital transformation.
Our specialists in Office 365, and Iker Masuet Ramon Diaz, showed us through several case studies, how to generate greater value for our company and customers thanks to Office 365 tools.
During his presentation we discovered how it is evolving the way businesses work and how new tools that incorporates Office 365 allow us to be more productive working naturally and intelligently.
Jordi Fernández, Softeng Cloud Solutions Manager, explained how to deal with the modernization of our IT infrastructure on-premise with Microsoft Azure, through case studies.
Jordi showed attendees savings, flexibility and speed of Azure to adapt to the changes required by the company, how to protect the company against disasters and how to work with business-critical applications in Azure with high availability and security.
Maureen Manubens, Microsoft Office Product Manager, presented us a preview of the latest Microsoft Office 365 that has been introduced during the first half of the year.
During his presentation, Maureen explained in detail the new features of Skype with which the company aims to tap the full potential of the platform to develop additional services and business applications such as workflows, presence or integration with CRM among others.
Our Portal Builder Specialists, Ibon Uria and Jordi Marchan, showed us how it is possible to generate business managing a site with Portal Builder productively and independently and the value of being the first in the major search engines.
During the demo we were surprised with the speed with which Portal Builder adapts the contents of a web automatically depending on the device from being accessed. We also showed the fantastic results Portal Builder offers improved search engine rankings and conversion to end customers.
Marc Jordana and David Rangel, Office 365 Softeng Specialists, made us an entertaining demonstration of safety offered by the cloud through practical cases where attendees could see:
- How to detect, protect and respond to a situation compromised as information leaks.
- Control employee access to any applications running in the cloud.
- Controlling devices with which users access Office 365.
In the last presentation, our team of specialists in Office 365, Ramon Masuet, Rodrigo Perez and Iker Diaz, showed us how Big Data is the competitive advantage that companies need and how to get value from data through Power BI and Azure Machine learning.
At the end of the event attendees they had the opportunity to enjoy a lunch buffet where they could do networking with other guests and talk with specialists in Office 365 and Azure of Microsoft and Softeng.
